They respect people who are kind, but recoil from perceived hostility or verbal battle.WHITES need their quiet independence and refuse to be controlled by others.
i need to post really quickly because it's 10 58 and way past my bed time! It's hard to go to bed early, there's so many things i want to do while i'm not at work.

Anyways I love my job it's great! Our product is cool and I'm getting really into it! The problem is that all this week i've been really focused and it's making me cranky. I'm writing code and when i'm in coding mode i can be nasty. Couple that with the fact that i'm always HUNGRY, and i become a reclusive nut who sits at her terminal snarling at people....or moreso at the computer screen.

I never used to have routine really, and now i have a routine. My life feels like a bit of an algorithm, it goes like this:

6am rise and shine
6 45 make lunch, eat breakfast
7am leave home to go for train
8 03 catch train to glen iris (sometimes with coffee, if the hursty train is on time)
8 25 get security pass, get to work
8 28 turn on computer, put lunch in fridge
8 30 check email, fill in time sheet, choose cd
8 40 start working
10 30 chai
11 am eat fruit
12 30 lunch, read paper
1pm more work
2pm coffee
3pm fruit
4pm email
5pm hometime!!!

Then many random things in the after work time. I read. I do some homework. I like watching the people on the train sometimes. Ok. Not WATCH, but observe. Some mornings there is a man who is in the Airforce and he catches the train with a pregnant lady (who i am guessing is his partner)...though the other morning he was really sad and looked like he wanted to cry. In my mind it's not his baby and he just found out! In reality, he's sad because he's gotta go to work in a foreign country an will the miss the birth of his child. And the couple who i think are Hawaiian but are probably chilean or filipino, and they always laugh. they'd be in their 40's but they are always giggling and making jokes. sometimes they speak some english, and the lady always tells the man to be quieter because they are making jokes (probably about the people around them!). I don't like it when the ticket inspectors are rude - they yell and it's not cool. Today the man said thankyou after analysing my ticket...i scowled at him but felt bad afterwards because he said thankyou nicely.

I am making perl scripts at work for the auto test frameworks and i'm crap at it! but i got better today...i wish that my tests could use more regexes - i'm going to try make it that way.

Got the new sensient album (antifluro) and it's wonderful!

Easter weekend and 4 days off, yay! Looking forward to it, might jet off to south australia.

tomorrow morning i'm sleeping on the train.
xxo

madmadweekend

I got back from Sydney yesterday afternoon after a killer music weekend and was bummed that I really can't just party all the time :( So unfair!

Lots has happened lately, though in true CBF style, i plan to explain it as concisely as possible.

I started my new full time job and i love it! It is the shizz, i test things that people use! The early mornings don't bother me.......i love the commute! I spend an hour 20 on trains and it's the bomb - I read, do puzzles, and watch the people....there's something about a man in a suit, oh yeah!

I even wear work clothes! It was a relief to find that my workplace is actually really casual, however I'm enjoying wearing vaguely dressed-up work clothes. So I have a computer, free fruit, free coffee, free pool table, drinks on Fridays and a great team! PLUS I get to learn all about aviation and have access to lots of information! oh it's so cool. PLUS I get to use linux! I'm getting good at vi again! hehehe

So the big bad scary world isn't so big, bad or scary. I'm feeling a bit slow still and get really lost...I went to a design meeting on Friday and it freaked me out. Also went to the compnay meeting....they have a company newsletter and i need to get my photo taken and give them a blurb. Ok. That's really "warm and fuzzy". HOWEVER......I get to scope out the newly employed cuties in Sweden!

So it's a nice place to work, the technology is cool and the people are really supportive. I already feel really comfortable there and I'd like to stay a while so I hope they keep me!

SYdney rocked. IT rained, it was hot. Future music festival was fun, I enjoyed tv rock and ltj bukem plus some prog people. Afterwards, i went to see claude von stroke and it was amazing! Though I was hoping for a slightly darker and dirtier set (there was a little too much cheese involved) it was the proggy goodness i lurve for the mornings.

So now i got to bed because i have to be up at 6am. And make my lunch.

And happy 2007 to you all!

So, if you didn't know, i've been on hollerdaze and it's been fabulous!

Mo came for a holiday from the Emirates and it was great to hang out with my old housemate, who drove me nuts then and still drives me nuts now! He departed yesterday, which is sad :(

And Touch me I'm SICK! TOo much partying, not enough water and not enough sleep has resulted in me coughing up lungs and being quite icky overall.

New Year was spent in Warrnambool is a super lovely house with my besties (i'm sooo paris hilton right now, hahaha!) - we had a big house party and went through a hell of a lot of beer and vodka. I loooooove bloody marys! Weather was lovely, went to the beach for a swim and enjoyed the chilling out.

Then went to Adelaide via Mt Gambier. Mo loved the Blue Lake, which is phenomenal! Adelaide is dead - however we went to McLaren Vale and made the most of the wineries there. Bought 3 decent bottles and tried a hell of a lot of vino. GOood stuff...the views from some of the wineries are just stunning. Went to the museum and art gallery, and then jetted to Sydney!

Caught up with roro and Jo and had a fucking great time. Lots of trashedness. Hung out in Oxford st on the first night we were there, went to a gay bar which was pretty fun in reality. The vibe was cool and so were the peoples. Friday night was absolutely insane, ending with roro trying to hook me up with roby who works in her team. I scored a proggy cd from roby, sweet! Ended up in kings cross with Jo and mo ..... went to the strippers which was just full on! you see everything! Night after went to a really nice bar in kings cross and then danced the night away in some random club. There was a boy who was a total spunk. OH. So Spunky. But! I resisted and went to sleep for 3 hours before coming home to the lovely melbourne.

Return to melbourne AND:
- Got an interview with DWS (friday 3pm)
- Patty finally calls
- Get to play my computer finally
- Scored the broadband internet, YAY (just gotta get the modem now)

So. All in all it's been great and full on. I'll post some photos when i get a chance. Now I need to go buy clothes for my interview!

And cough up a lung.

Iamsoexcitedican'tevenmanagetoputaspaceinbetweenmywordscuzi'mtalkingsofast!aaaaahhahahahaha!

I spent 3 hours today trying to download an .avi to a .mpeg converter for amra's photo-music montage to be played at the engagement party. Try downloading big apps on a 56k connection. It su><0rz! THird time was lucky, I owe it to Xilisoft because they saved my ass!

Ok. I'm going to go spend some time with my new loves. I want all big bass music to test! hahahahaha. Best christmas present we ever gave ourselves :)

If i wasn't so preoccupied with my speakers and needing to make myself pretty for an engagement, i'd talk about all the christmas shopping i did and the cool presents everyone will be getting. I still need to wrap them, and I will make sure I do that in the study with my speakers.

For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.

A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.

A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. There's also a lot of untamed emotion. When either escapes, look out. One minute you're completely together, the next you're a howling gale of hormones and opinions.

Outside relationships, your intense, mercurial personality makes you a charmer. Of course, your enemies are likewise certain and zealous, especially your exes and their therapists.

                           Your exact opposite:
The Maid of Honor

Deliberate Gentle Love Master

You will find the right person.
I did a fun test to find out which tarot card I am.

I'm the moon! Read:

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

- I don't know the source - but apparently we had an earthquake!! Thanks Carmina for the article.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It only lasted a minute or less, but the small quake that struck Melbourne's south-east last night was enough to give people the shakes in more ways than one. The magnitude 2.9 earthquake, recorded at 10.36pm last night, prompted a flood of calls to emergency services.
Readers of theage.com.au were spooked by sounds they variously interpreted as gas explosions, thunderclaps, car crashes, terrorist activity, or possums on the roof. Arabella Stuart of St Kilda said her building trembled "for approximately 30-40 seconds"."I thought it was a case of serious thunder or that an explosion had gone off in the neighbourhood. "We live in town houses ... and all of the neighbours came to the front door to see what had caused our building to shake."

Some residents of Caulfield, where the tremor is reported to have first struck, experienced momentary paranoia in the wake of the quake. "After the house-shaking, stomach-turning minute of the quake, I ran outside expecting to see smoke or flames in the distance coming from a Jewish Synagogue or the Caulfield town hall," said Andrew Wiesner.

Meanwhile Martin Szwarc was lying in bed when he heard what sounded like three explosions. "I thought maybe a car hit the front gate or something because the whole place shook. It went bang, bang, bang, with enough force to nearly knock me out of bed," he said.

Paul from Elsternwick was convinced the earthquake's epicentre was around Caulfield. "Over my stereo I heard an almighty 'BANG'. The house shook. I thought it was a car accident and went outside to see nothing. Then I thought a possum must have jumped on the tin roof." Others, who recognised the sensations from sojourns in quake-prone zones, suggested that Melbourne residents should be made aware of the signs, to allay widespread panic.

Susan Pauvif was in bed in Springvale South when she felt a force that jolted her about 10.40pm. "My mother went running around the house making sure all bedroom doors were opened," she said. "We are from Chile originally and we have been in earthquakes and other emergency situations. The general public should be educated in emergency preparedness. If you are prepared, you will not be so scared and you will be able to help others."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last time i felt tremors in Melbourne was 1999 while completing my Chemistry C.A.T.

I heart Pandora...!

Was up till 6am giving jo a fake hand with his thesis - really I didn't do anything except read his introduction and play with a little bit of LaTeX - his research is really exciting! It's hard work, so much maths. Maths is so pretty, and sometimes i'm glad to not know what it means....but in reality, in my spre time i'd actually like to do some calculus...

Gotta mark. Marking marking marking.

I put 3 holds on Cds from work:
- tv on the radio
- tool
- nelly furtado

So I should have some distraction while trying to motivate myself to do work. I want to do my thesis. But not today, I must mark....

THis was going to be interesting till i got distracted. Need coffeeeee! Too much blood in my coffee stream (hahaha!).
